Licensed Mental Health Counselor
"Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, 'I'm possible!'"
Personal Approach
I value the importance of taking an individualized, collaborative, and client centered approach to counseling. I practice with empathy, compassion, honesty, and open communication. I utilize several counseling techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based CBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, and a strengths-based approach to treatment. My hope is to encourage others to practice self-compassion and self-care, and to give them an open and safe space to do so.
Professional Background
I have years of experience working with an array of populations including adults, adolescents, and children who are struggling with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and psychosis. I have experience working in both inpatient/outpatient mental health and substance abuse facilities. I am certified in alcohol and substance abuse counseling through OASAS and hold a CASAC.
