Mental Health Counselor

“Much of psychology is based on the consequences of early life experiences, attachment, and nurturance, because these formative years shape the brain’s foundational understanding of the world." - Hawkins

Personal Approach

My clinical approach focuses on two core areas: childhood experiences and resilience. I operate from the idea that our current challenges are very often rooted in childhood, and resilience is key to overcoming these challenges to lead happier, more fulfilling lives. Through our work together, I believe addressing childhood experiences and fostering resilience can create lasting, positive changes in mental health.

Professional Background

I did my post-master’s research understanding the impact of childhood trauma on neurodevelopment and the cultivation of resilient minds. In practice, I utilize trauma-informed CBT+DBT with an emphasis on validation and compassion, while exploring the root causes of challenges in attachment/object relations.
