Clinicians will learn accurate information regarding cisgendered female anatomy and gain knowledge to provide psychoeducation to clients so they can eliminate anxiety derived from society’s expectations of female sexuality. Understanding how the media creates unrealistic expectations for female desire and orgasm is the first step in freeing clients from feelings of shame, disappointment and guilt from “unsuccessful” sexual experiences. Taking a crash course on cisgendered female sexuality to understand the mechanisms behind women’s pleasure will allow clinicians to guide clients into exhilarating sexual experiences.
