My approach to therapy is primarily person-centered and cognitive-behavioral. However, I also utilize techniques from other modalities including DBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I actively listen to clients' needs and concerns, while engaging them in whichever therapeutic intervention may best be suitable within a welcoming and safe space. I believe that establishing a strong and genuine rapport is essential in fostering reflection, change, and progress.
I worked at an outpatient clinic in Brooklyn, NY, early in my career. I completed my internship at an in-patient hospital setting at Four Winds Hospital. I have been with Humantold for over 5 years. I have experience in individual, family, and couple's counseling, helping individuals struggling with mood disorders, substance abuse issues, grief, conflicts, sexuality and gender related issues, and ADHD.
