I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and cultural humility, drawing on my Indo-Caribbean identity to inform a multicultural lens tailored to each client. I ground my work in psychodynamic thinking alongside CBT, exploring how early relationships and unconscious patterns shape present struggles. I am continually deepening my practice with Internal Family Systems, psychoanalysis, and person-centered therapy to meet clients where they are.
My background gained from Adelphi University’s Gordon Derner school doctoral program has given me hands-on experience supporting children with disabilities and autism, including direct classroom work as a special education paraprofessional. This experience shapes how I understand development, family systems, and neurodiversity. I bring a multicultural, psychodynamically-informed lens tailored to each client’s needs, integrating CBT while continuing to grow in IFS, psychoanalysis, and person-centered approaches.
